1. Collection of Recordings

We do not capture, record, store, or upload your recordings. All screen, tab, window, and audio recordings are processed locally in your browser memory and written directly to your local file system (Downloads folder) using the standard MediaRecorder API. When you close the extension or finish a recording, it is cleared from browser memory.

2. Account and Personal Data

Screen Recorder Lite does not require any account creation, login, or registration. We do not collect or store personal data such as your name, email address, IP address, or payment details. The extension is completely free and operational without sign-up.

3. Telemetry and Analytics

We do not integrate any tracking cookies, telemetry script, or analytical trackers. We have no mechanism for understanding how often you record, what you record, or what options you select.

4. Permissions Required

To capture video and audio, the extension requests standard browser permissions:

• Desktop Capture: Required to prompt you to choose which screen, window, or tab to share.
• Audio Capture: Optional, requested only when you choose to record microphone audio.

5. Open Source

For transparency, Screen Recorder Lite's code is fully open-source. Anyone can review the source code to verify that all recording logic remains offline and strictly private.
